Madhya Pradesh govt reshuffles senior IAS officers
Bhopal, July 28 (IANS) The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a significant reshuffle of senior IAS officers, marking a wide-ranging reallocation of responsibilities across departments and districts.
Among the notable changes, Dinesh Jain of the 2011 batch, currently Additional Secretary in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, has been given charge as Commissioner-cum-Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection in Bhopal, while also retaining his role as Additional Secretary in the Food and Civil Supplies Department.
Girish Sharma, also of the 2011 batch, who was serving as Project Director of the Madhya Pradesh Skill Development Project and holding multiple additional charges, will now continue as Additional Secretary in the Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Department.
Ankit Asthana of the 2014 batch has been shifted from the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department to the General Administration Department, where he will serve as Deputy Secretary while also taking on the additional charge of Director, Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board.
Aditi Garg, Collector of Mandsaur, has been appointed Project Director of the Skill Development Project in Bhopal, with additional responsibilities including CEO of the State Skill Development and Employment Board and Director of Employment. She will also oversee the SSR Global Skill Park.
In the district administration, Parth Jaiswal, Collector of Chhatarpur, has been transferred to Shadol as Collector, while Mrinal Meena moves from Balaghat to Chhatarpur. Kumar Satyam, who was Additional Collector in Gwalior, has been appointed Collector of Balaghat.
Meanwhile, Misha Singh, Collector of Ratlam, has been reassigned as Additional Commissioner in the Urban Administration and Development Department in Bhopal.
The reshuffle also extends to planning and governance institutions. Swaroachish Somvanshi of the 2012 batch, currently Commissioner-cum-Director of Economics and Statistics, has been given additional charge as Member Secretary of the State Planning Commission and Director of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis.
With this change, Rishi Garg of the 2013 batch, who previously held these additional responsibilities, has been relieved of them and will continue as Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Central Zone Electricity Distribution Company.
This administrative overhaul, affecting both district collectors and senior secretariat officials, is expected to streamline operations across key sectors including skill development, employment, food security, and governance reforms.
By placing experienced officers in strategic roles, the government aims to ensure more effective delivery of public services and policy implementation across the state.
