India Post sets up special Rakhi counters across Delhi; urges early booking for timely delivery
New Delhi: The Department of Posts has announced special arrangements for the timely delivery of Rakhi ahead of Raksha Bandhan, which will be celebrated on August 28, by setting up dedicated booking counters across Delhi.
Special Rakhi Mail booking counters will operate until August 22 at 34 major post offices across Delhi, besides the Delhi Railway Station and New Delhi Railway Station transit mail offices, to help customers send Rakhi consignments without last-minute rush.
The department has advised customers to post Rakhi well in advance to ensure timely delivery.

To further facilitate faster deliveries, India Post has encouraged customers to use its 24 Speed Post and 48 Speed Post services, which offer time-bound delivery with a money-back guarantee in case of delays.
The 24 Speed Post service will be available at 35 designated booking centres in Delhi for deliveries to six major metro cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad — providing a faster and more reliable option during the festive season.
The Department of Posts said the special initiative is aimed at ensuring secure and timely delivery of Rakhi and other important consignments during one of the busiest postal periods of the year.
