Vishal Aditya Singh on ‘Dil Se Deewangi Tak’: ‘I have never played a character like this before’

Mumbai, Aug 23 (IANS) Television actor Vishal Aditya Singh is set to explore a never-seen-before character in the vertical daily soap ‘Dil Se Deewangi Tak.’

Speaking exclusively to IANS, he described the role as challenging and unlike anything he has played previously. Talking about what drew him to the project, Vishal said the show marks the first daily soap in the vertical format for the platform. He added that he wanted to explore the medium and understand the kind of storytelling being created specifically for vertical viewing.

When asked what made him interested in the project, the ‘Chandrakanta’ actor stated, “This is Vertical’s first daily soap, and I wanted to explore this medium. Phones are going to remain an integral part of our lives, so I wanted to understand what kind of work is being created for the vertical format. When I had a meeting and saw the show, I felt it had the essence of a television show — good casting, good writing and good execution. Keeping all these things in mind, I decided to do the show.”

Speaking about his character, Vishal mentioned, “My character is very different. I have never played a character like this before. In the previous season, there was another boy, and after he underwent plastic surgery, I came in as a new character. However, this character may look new, but he actually belongs to the previous season. I have never played such a character before, and it is challenging to play someone else’s character.”

“I like challenging roles, and I have always tried to do something that challenges me as an actor. I am always excited about taking on such roles, and that was one of the reasons I decided to do this show.”

On a related note, ‘Dil Se Deewangi Tak’ also stars Yukti Kapoor, Piyush Sahdev, and Akanksha Puri. The show premiered on Alright! TV on April 21, 2026.
