CM inaugurates Mysuru Dasara cultural programmes, honours singer Nagamani Srinath

Mysuru: Chief Minister DK Shivakumar inaugurated the cultural programmes organised at the Amba Vilas Palace premises as part of the Mysuru Dasara festivities.

On the occasion, veteran vocalist Mysuru Nagamani Srinath was conferred the State Sangeetha Vidwan Award in recognition of her contribution to music.

The cultural programmes form a key part of the annual Dasara celebrations, showcasing Karnataka’s rich artistic heritage, classical music and cultural traditions.

Assembly Speaker GS Patil, Legislative Council Chairman Saleem Ahmed, ministers Yathindra Siddaramaiah, Shivaraj Tangadagi, KJ George and Puttarangashetty, and MLAs Harish Gowda, Anil Chikkamadu, Tanveer Sait and TS Srivatsa attended the event.

Legislative Council member Raghu Kautilya and several other dignitaries were also present.

The programmes at the historic palace are expected to provide a platform for artists to showcase the state’s diverse cultural traditions during the festivities.
