CSI Sushanthi Nilaya hall in Mangaluru redeveloped with 300-seat air-conditioned facility

Mangaluru: The redeveloped CSI Sushanthi Nilaya community hall at Mercara Hill in Mangaluru will be inaugurated on September 25, marking the completion of a major redevelopment initiative aimed at preserving and revitalising the historic facility.

The inauguration ceremony will be presided over by Rt. Rev. Hemachandra Kumar, Bishop of the CSI Karnataka Southern Diocese. Rev. Dr. Dexter Maben will inaugurate the facility along with Rev. Santhosh Kumar Singh, Pastor of CSI Sushanthi Church.

Santhosh Kumar Jonas, Kiran Karat and Devaputra Kotyan will attend the event as guests of honour. Office-bearers from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, the Diocesan Treasurer, and representatives of the church and local community are also expected to participate.

The redevelopment has resulted in a 300-seat, air-conditioned community hall equipped with modern amenities. The project was supported by Sunil Jonas, Director, and Sandhya Jonas, Managing Director of Jonas Petro Products Pvt. Ltd.

Speaking at a press conference, Rev. Santhosh Kumar Singh said the redevelopment was an important step towards preserving the historic building while creating a modern facility for community activities.

Entrepreneur Sunil Jonas said the redevelopment work had been carried out over about seven months. The initiative was undertaken in memory of his late parents, S. Elia Jonas and Sulochana Jonas.

Sandhya Jonas, Bennett Amanna and Santhosh Kumar Jonas were present at the press conference.
