‘Equal Life, Equal Share for All’ Becoming Reality in Muddenahalli: H.D. Kumaraswamy

Chikkaballapura: The principle of “equal life and equal share for all”, often confined to political speeches, is being translated into reality in Muddenahalli, Union Minister for Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy said.

Speaking at the Navaratri celebrations at Satya Sai Grama, Kumaraswamy praised Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai for promoting education, nutrition and human values through selfless service, describing his initiatives as an inspiration for governments and political leaders.

Kumaraswamy said he had once aspired to provide quality education and nutritious food to children in rural areas but could not fully realise the vision because he did not remain in power long enough. He appreciated Sadguru for pursuing the goal through sustained humanitarian efforts.

Under the motto ‘One World, One Family’, the mission is spreading human values globally, guided by the vision and blessings of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, he said. Kumaraswamy described the organisation’s efforts to address nutritional deficiencies among lakhs of families as remarkable.

At a time when the condition of government schools remains a concern in several places, the initiative to provide equal educational opportunities to children was commendable, he said. He also observed that the mission’s emphasis on treating the world as one family offered a positive example amid growing competition, jealousy and discord among nations.

Responding to Kumaraswamy’s remarks, Sadguru Madhusudan Sai said the achievements reflected divine grace and described the minister’s appreciation as a sign of his magnanimity.

He said significant progress was possible when society, the government and service organisations worked together. He compared the combined strength of these three forces to the coming together of the goddesses Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati.

Sadguru also criticised the legacy of the Macaulay system of education, saying it had fostered a sense of inferiority towards Indian heritage and culture. He said the mission aimed to provide education that instilled pride in India’s cultural traditions and values alongside spiritual learning.

The programme concluded with ‘Amrutamala’, a musical presentation by renowned harmonium artist Dr. Ravindra Katoti. B.N. Narasimha Murthy, president of the Prashanthi Balamandira Trust, also addressed the gathering.
