Jammu and Kashmir: Infiltration bid foiled on LoC

Kupwara : A recent infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district, Jammu and Kashmir, was successfully foiled by the Indian Army. According to official sources, they received intelligence about at least two infiltrators attempting to cross the LoC in the Tangdhar sector.

In response to the information, the Army swiftly launched an operation to counter the intrusion. During the initial exchange of gunfire, one militant was killed. However, the other infiltrator managed to take cover in the bushes and is sporadically firing at the security forces.

The security forces have recovered the body of the slain unidentified militant, along with incriminating materials, arms, and ammunition. The operation to neutralize the second militant is still ongoing as they continue to search for the intruder.

The Indian Army remains vigilant and takes prompt action to thwart any attempts at infiltration across the LoC, ensuring the safety and security of the region.
